Jelena Fiškuš on the Young Lions Competition Jury
Sonda’s Co-Founder and Creative Director Jelena Fiškuš served on the international jury of the Young Lions Design Competition at Cannes Lions
Creative Director and Co-Founder of Studio Sonda, Jelena Fiškuš, served on the international jury of this year’s Young Lions Design Competition, held as part of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the world’s most significant festival of creativity and marketing communications.
The Young Lions competitions bring together the best young creatives from around the world, with participation granted exclusively to winners of national Young Lions competitions. During the festival, participants are given a real client brief from a humanitarian organization or socially driven initiative and have only 24 hours to develop a creative solution, which they then present to an international expert jury.
Jelena Fiškuš took part in evaluating entries in the Design category, where competitors develop a design concept and visual direction in response to a given communication challenge. This year’s brief was set by Re:wild, a global conservation organization operating in more than 90 countries and co-founded by Leonardo DiCaprio. According to the jury’s decision, the Gold award was given to the team from Colombia for Re:hold the Earth, Silver to the team from Portugal for Stand by the Wild, and Bronze to the team from South Korea for Re:Turn to the Wild.
Alongside Jelena, the jury was composed of leading professionals from top global agencies, studios, and companies: Bastien Baumann, Chief Design Officer at Publicis Groupe (USA) and Jury President; Akinpelumi Okelola, Senior Design Specialist at NBCUniversal (USA); Sally Alzaza, Regional Creative Director at Interesting Times (UAE); and Sebastien Zanini, Chief Creative Officer at Dentsu Creative Paris (France).
