[CALL] ABCs of Design: Packaging design

In partnership with the Croatian Designers Association (HDD), Sonda is organizing the first series of design workshops for preschool children in Vižinada.

At Sonda Creative Center, the workshop on “Packaging Design” will be led by Jelena Fiškuš and Sean Poropat, creative directors and founders of Studio Sonda, an independent design and communication studio that has received numerous domestic and international awards to date.

Despite the complexity of design work, these workshops promise to unveil its playful side, inviting children to step into the shoes of designers and unleash their creativity over two engaging sessions. During these sessions, children will not only become familiar with design elements but will also harness their abundant creativity and imagination to devise and create their own packaging for their favorite treat – ice cream.

Rather than dwelling on problems, in this creative game the emphasis is on fostering creativity, empowering children to approach challenges with a broad perspective and boundless imagination. With just a table and chair and a sprinkle of enthusiasm, participants dive into the hands-on experience from the get-go, even assembling designer chairs themselves.

Scheduled for Wednesday, April 27th, and Thursday, April 29th, 2022, starting at 10:30 a.m., the workshops welcome a group of ten eager learners from Vižinada Kindergarten. The workshops are free of charge and last for an hour and a half with the presence of professional support.
