[CALL] Photography workshops with Lorna Kijurko

We are delighted to announce that the creative photography workshop series “Sixth Sense” is launching this autumn.

The workshops are led by Lorna Kijurko, an artist, photographer, and yoga instructor who has spent over a decade exploring the intersection of art, creativity, and personal development. Under her mentorship, participants will discover photography as a medium of expression, an introspective journey, and a powerful tool for personal empowerment.

The educational and artistic programme “6th Sense” is conceived as a journey in which the camera becomes an extension of one’s inner gaze. Under the headline “Light from Within,” it invites participants to pay attention not only to what they see, but to what they wish to show – expressing their own interests and a unique perspective on the world.

The workshops are intended for young people aged 18 to 30 and will take place in person at the Sonda Creative Center in Vižinada, once a week according to the following schedule:

• first session: Wednesday, 1 October at 4:00 PM
• further sessions and field classes: Saturdays 4, 11, 18, and 25 October from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• closing exhibition: November 2025

Participants may use a digital or analogue camera, or a mobile phone with sufficient resolution to produce photographs suitable for the closing exhibition. Places are limited to 10 participants, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible and secure your spot on this unique creative journey.

Applications are open via the form below until all places are filled, and no later than 25 September 2025. Applicants are kindly asked to apply only if they are able to participate regularly throughout the entire duration of the programme. The workshops are free of charge; participants cover their own travel costs to Vižinada.

The “Sixth Sense” programme is delivered in collaboration with Lorna Kijurko by Association Sonda for the promotion of creativity, education, and local community development, with financial support from the Istrian County – Regione Istriana.
